MELANOMAS FOUND *
We’ve found more than half of all the Melanomas predicted for the Eastern Suburbs.*
We have found 220 melanomas over the 3 years since the Bondi Junction Skin Cancer Clinic introduced its new Digital Skin Check Process.
Our percentage is calculated using the following data
The local rate of Melanomas is 53.4 cases per 100,000 people per year and
The Eastern Suburbs Population is 267,000.
This means there are 142.6 Melanomas in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney per year.
This equating to a total of 428 expected local Melanoma cases in the same 3 year period.
This means at Bondi Junction Skin Cancer Clinic, we have found 51.4% of the Melanomas predicted to be diagnosed in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney in the 3 years since we introduced out Digital Skin Check process.

EARLY DETECTION ***
All Melanomas diagnosed during Digital Follow-Up Examinations via our Diagnostic Program
Precisely 100% of Melanomas detected at Digital Follow-Up visits were found at Stage 0, which is 100% survivable.
All Melanomas diagnosed at Digital Follow-Up examinations in the 3 years since the introduction of our Digital Skin Check Program have been Superficial.
These are also known as Melanoma In-Situ or Grade ‘0’ Melanoma.
These Melanomas are the earliest possible stage of Melanoma and are effectively 100% survivable.
This result implies that the Digital Skin Check Process may confer a significant survival benefit to patients.
