The outstanding imaging performance seen with VivoSight is the result of its proprietary multi-beam OCT technology.

Four beams of light are used together to double the image resolution, creating the level of clarity needed to diagnose skin lesions.

Similar to the way ultrasound uses sound waves; VivoSight uses eye-safe infrared laser light to create detailed, 6mm by 6mm images of the tissue, up to 2mm below the surface of the skin, in a matter of seconds.

The images are created from the pattern of light reflections from structures in the skin, with skin cancers easily identified from their visual appearance in the scan image.

VivoSight scans not only provide immediate, diagnostically powerful information, they can be used there and then with the patient to explain the diagnosis and treatment options available.
